"Dancing Granny"
This is the story about a lady who loved to dance.
Anansi the Spider came along and he was very hungry. He
smelled Granny's food and he started to sing. Since the
old lady loved to dance, she danced away 10 miles east of
the village. When she stopped dancing, she realized the
spider had tricked her and had stolen her corn. She said,
"That old spider tricked me. But he won't trick me
again!"
The next day Granny was stirring a pot of beans. Then
along came the spider. He sang, "Mama loves beans, Papa
loves corn, Baby loves peas...", and etc. When the lady
heard the rythym she started to dance, and danced away
from the village. The spider came and stole her beans.
When she returned she said, "Ah that spider!. He tricked
me again. Now I have to find a way so I won't dance."
Then the next day, Anansi came again. He sang but Granny
wouldn't dance. Then Anansi tried again. She invited him
in. Then she said, "Oh spider! You have such a sweet
voice." Then they danced. They shook it to the east and
they shook it to the west. Then they shook it their very
best. Then they danced all the day and that ended the
story.

Anansi the Spider and Dancing Granny
A long time ago there was a woman that like to stir
the pot, and she liked to dance. There was a spider named
Anansi that loved to eat the food the woman cooked.Anansi
thought of a way to steal the food. Anansi had a sweet,
lovely voice.
One day as Granny was stirring the pot, Anansi began to
sing. The woman couldn't resist the music and began to
dance. Outside she went and she danced all over town.
Quickly Anansi grabbed the food and ate it.
The spider tricked the woman once more. Granny finally
realized what the spider had been doing. So she began to
stir the pot. When Anansi came, he began to sing. But the
woman had a plan. She said to Anansi, "Why don't we dance
together?" Then both of them began to dance happily.
That's how she stopped him from eating her food.
