Henry Street Settlement's Abrons Art Center offered our
students and staff classes in the disciplines of drama,
music and video. This is the third year that we have
worked with their resident artists and have been once
again, greatly rewarded by their dedication to our
students and staff. Their professionalism and expertise

Carrie Dashow is a video artist who works to
combine aspects of performance and communication in
relation to our newest friend, the video camera. Her
videos have been screened internationally as well as
locally. This is the third year that she has worked with
us. This year Carrie decided it was time to train our
staff members in the use of digital video in the
classroom. As a result, she was instrumental in enabling
us to create our first digital video documenatary that
shows our students involved in activities that integrate
computer technology in the artroom.
Tom Rossi is a songwriter, composer, performer
asnd recording artist who teaches a variety of music to
children of all ages. Educated at Berklee College of
Music, Tom offers a fun, well rounded foundation of
western music notation and concepts. He has also lived
and studied in Africa, Cuba and Brazil and teaches a
diverse repertoire of traditional drumming rhythms, songs
and dances. Tom write his own children's songs as well as
gives a wonderfully exciting class in folk songs from
around the world.
Kristen Stuart is an artist whose specialties
are playwriting and acting. she is also a professional
writer and performer. she's also an artist in residence
at the award winning theater "HERE" in downtown
Manhattan. Her most recent project, "The Memory
Orchestra" palyed to sold out houses at "HERE". The
Village Voice wrote, "Stuart weaves an eerie vocalise".
She will perform in May at Cooper Union as the singing
poet, Anne Sexton.
